- Does the Master Trainer program have international or national affiliation and accreditation?The Master Trainer program offers both – national and international affiliation and accreditation. International Affiliations: American Council on Exercise (ACE) Over 35 Years, ACE certification programs have certified over 90,000 fitness professionals through various certification programs worldwide. ACE offers NCCA-accredited certification programs and continuing education program options for fitness professionals. Classic Fitness Academy is the Official Education Partner of ACE in India. European Register of Exercise Professionals “EREPS” is a registered body for European Fitness Professionals. “EREPS” ensure quality training assurance through certification programs. The registry plays a key role in assuring- all fitness professionals hold appropriate qualification, skill and competence required to perform their role safely and effectively. The Master Trainer program provides a total of 12 certificates. - What topics does the Master Trainer curriculum cover?Syllabus 250 plus hours Apply the knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, biomechanical concepts as they relate to movement and exercise, the knowledge of related physiological concepts, the knowledge of the cardio-respiratory system and energy systems, to programme design Carry out fitness assessments to establish fitness and skill level and analyse information relating to individual clients How to incorporate behaviour change, use effective communication and teaching strategies to help clients increase general activity levels and be motivated to adhere to exercise programmes. Identify client information which is to be collected and advise clients of correct procedures, protocols and risks prior to commencing physical assessment and exercising. How to conduct and analyse posture assessments, movement screens and how to incorporate it all during program design. How to design effective and outcome-oriented programs. Novel and advanced training techniques for optimal outcomes in health, fitness and performance. How to instruct and when to integrate multiple training tools such as Kettlebells, Olympic lifting, Suspension training and Plyometric training in to the client’s workout. Learn the science behind meal planning to enhance fat loss, muscle gain and sports performance. Goal specific macro- and micro-nutrient distribution Detail specific program components for fat loss and lean mass gain. Importance of timing nutrients and fluids for optimal results Apply sports nutrition principles to enhance performance of various sports. Learn the pros and cons of supplementation to fuel and optimize performance, recovery or fitness goals. Learn effective diet and exercise strategies to manage clients with lifestyle related disorders such as Diabetes, Hypertension, PCOD, Osteoporosis.
- What is the exam outline for the MT program?The exam is divided into 3 parts. It is compulsory to clear all the 3-exams in order to PASS. The exam allows one additional attempt free. Theory Exam Exam question format: Multiple Choice Questions No of Questions: 200 Time allowed: 4 hours Passing percentage: 50% Conducted through the CFA Exam app Case study Exam Exam question format: Long hand written. The case study assesses exercise programming and nutrition planning skills. Time allowed: 2 hours Practical + Viva Exam (30 minutes per student) The practical is conducted with 3-people- 1-assessor, 1-trainer & 1-client The trainer will be provided with a scenario based on which the trainer will have the client perform a proper warm-up, 2-cardio exercises, 2-resistance exercises, cool-down with stretches. Viva will also be conducted during the assessment.
- How long will it take to complete the course and get the MT certificate?The program takes anywhere between 8-to-10 months to complete. This includes all the classes, practical skill training for Kettlebell, Olympic lifting, Suspension and plyometric training by the respective master trainers, preparation/self-study time for the CFA’s EREPS and both the nutrition module exams, offline CPR training, the SPEFL-SC assessment and lastly receiving the EREPS membership certificate.
- Is there any prerequisite for the Master Trainer program?A fitness credential is recommended, but not required for the Master Trainer program.
