- Are there any prerequisites for the Performance Enhancement Specialization?It’s not required, but we recommend having at least one of these credentials before you pursue the Performance Enhancement Specialization: • Certified Personal Trainer • Certified Sports Nutrition Coach • Certified Athletic Training • NCCA, NBFE or DETC Accredited Health/Fitness Certification, or a 4-year college degree in a similar field • REPs Level 3 or higher for international trainers

- Can I apply my NASM PES CEUs toward my NASM CPT recertification?Yes, this program will satisfy the CEU requirements for your Certified Personal Trainer recertification. You are required to earn 1.9 CEUs, in addition, you also have to earn 0.1 CEUs from the CPR/AED certification for a total of 2.0 CEUs to get the recertification.
