Classic Fitness introduces an all-new functional training specialist course program. The course is an 200-hour training program that focuses on theoretical core knowledge like functional anatomy, postural assessment, movement screens, program design, and implementation with special emphasis on practical application i.e teaching technique, breathing pattern, verbal cueing, and how to progress and regress exercises based on clients fitness levels and goals. This course adds a new dimension and skill set to a personal trainer's training expertise to stand apart and above the crowd. The course will teach students different functional exercises which are suitable for a range of clients from beginners to advanced levels. The skills and knowledge you gain from this course will enhance your ability to safely and effectively instruct clients in key functional movement patterns and training principles to optimize performance, improve biomechanics and reduce the risk of injury. This course will integrate multiple training tools such as Kettlebells, Olympic lifting, Suspension training, Plyometric training, Speed agility  and quickness training and Core conditioning (includes tools such as medicine ball, exercise ball & BOSU, sandbags, battle ropes).

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the science behind functional training and how to apply it to each client
  • Learn how to assess posture and basic movements of the human body. 
  • Help clients improve their balance and proprioception 
  • Learn how to design programs and integrate training tools based on your clients goals.
  • Learn how to pro- and regress movement patterns for different types of fitness levels ? from beginner-to-advance.
  • Learn the basic warm-up strategy, mobility drills, cool-down, foam rolling and stretching techniques ? from beginner-to-advance.

Coach clients how to load and unload the body and how to manage momentum

- RIP Trainer

- Olympic Lifting 

- Kettlebell

- Medicine ball/bosu/swiss ball workout
